Tailored events
The Oval Room in Jarrow Hall and the Conference Room in the New Museum Building provide the ideal settings for a range of events. Catering and technical support can be tailored to your requirements. Access to fax, email, photocopying and other services are all available as extras.
The Oval Room
The Oval Room is ideal for smaller meetings and receptions. It is on the first floor of the Grade-II listed Georgian building (accessible by lift and stairs) and seats up to 12 people in board-meeting style.
Delegates benefit from the downstairs café which can be booked as part of the tailored event. An evening reception in the Oval Room, for example, can be followed by dinner in the Jarrow Hall café, providing a stylish setting suitable for formal and informal occasions.
The Oval Room has superb views of St Paul's Church, founded in 681 AD, and is a popular venue for meetings, presentations and lunches.
The Conference Room
The superbly designed Conference Room makes full use of natural light in a large, open plan area with comfortable seating which can be quickly converted to theatre-style, dinner, buffet or split into separate sections for workshops.
The Conference Room successfully caters for larger events. The flexible design of the room, however, enables us to section off areas for smaller or split activity events.
The Conference Room has integral audio-visual and video equipment. Technical support is available for all presentations.
