Christmas Newsletter for Schools |
Now is the perfect time of year to visit Bede's
World to experience one or two of our new and
creative Christmas activities for schools. For the
Christmas half term only we are offering a choice
of the following visits at last year's prices!
|
|
Anglo-Saxon Angels and Monks |
Children may visit St Paul's
Anglo-Saxon church and
make their own Anglo-
Saxon angel or monk to
take home and hang on the
tree. Each class needs to
bring a box/tray to carry
their creations back to
school.
|
|
Chalices |
Learn the story of
Benedict Biscop who
founded the
Wearmouth-Jarrow
monastery.
Children make their
own chalice from air-
drying clay to take
home. Each class
needs to bring a tray
to carry their chalices
back to school.

|
Christingles |
Children learn about this traditional way of symbolising
the Christmas story.
