Farm Yard Tales is an exciting new project, in which our education department worked alongside families from the Riverside, Biddick and All Saints SureStart Centres to develop an interactive visit. The project focussed on elements of the site that the children were keen to further explore and engage with.
The families visited Bede's World to meet the animals on our farm, listen to the tale of the 'Three Little Pigs' in our puppet theatre and then make some puppets to take home.
From March we will be able to offer this visit to other SureStart Centres and nurseries in the area.
The project also received support from Tyne & Wear Museums who provided funding for the transport costs through their Partnerships in Early Years Project.
