Group visits

Group visits with guided tours and catering can be arranged in advance. A discount is offered to pre-booked groups of 15 or more. Guided tours of the Age of Bede exhibition and the Anglo-Saxon Farm are available by arrangement. Groups are advised to allow an hour for each guided tour.

Admission prices

For groups of 15 or under: adult £4.50; concession £3.00

For pre-booked groups of 15 or more: adult £3.85; concession £2.55

For evening visits outside normal museum opening times there must be a minimum of 30 group members and there is an additional facility fee of £50.00.

Catering

Light refreshments and main meals are available in the Jarrow Hall Café. Our food is freshly prepared to order, so groups requiring lunch within a restricted time period are advised to order food in advance - click here for café menu. Groups of more than 30 requiring lunch within a restricted time period can be provided with a buffet in the museum meeting room. Buffets, evening meals, and special menus can be provided by arrangement.
