News & events

Bede's World runs a lively programme of exhibitions, events and talks to suit all ages and interests throughout the year. Details are available online, or email us for a leaflet listing the events, which include medieval music and dancing, Anglo-Saxon and traditional crafts, talks from some of the country's leading archaeologists and historians, guided walks and family fun-days. We are joined on a number of weekends by Living History groups who bring the past to life and show visitors how the Anglo-Saxons may have lived and worked in the surroundings of our demonstration farm.

To add to enjoyment for visitors Bede's World has a programme of temporary exhibitions, many visiting the North East for the first or only time. They include exhibitions of art, crafts and artefacts as well as some specially put together for Bede's World which will tour throughout the UK.
