Bede's World is at Jarrow in north-east England on the south bank of the River Tyne and close to the city of Newcastle upon Tyne.

We are located 2 minutes from the A19 Tyne Tunnel south entrance (it is a toll tunnel) and about a twenty minute walk from the Bede Metro Station on the Newcastle - South Shields line of the Tyne and Wear Metro.

Bus services 526 and 527 stop close to the museum and usually run every half hour.
Buses and taxis run from Jarrow Metro Station - a 5 minute drive from the museum.

Visitors arriving at the Tyne on the Scandinavian or Amsterdam ferries should cross the river by the Tyne Tunnel.
